Temples are used to hold selvege edge width and assist in lessening the amount of draw-in. Particularly helpful on weavings with a high warp tension - such as with rug weaving.
These are made from steel - metal temples are narrower than wooden temples and the sharp teeth have a slightly greater downward slant than wooden temples making them the prefered choice for thicker weavings such as rug weaving and heavy fabrics.
Dimensions shown are the minimum and maximum width of weavings that temple can be successfully used on.
