The Schacht Matchless Double Treadle Spinning Wheel

The main frame of this wheel is made from thin laminated layers of Eastern hard rock maple (about 18 layers!) and a single layer of American black walnut. This is a modern, well balanced, very versatile wheel with optional ratios all the way from a super slow 4:1 (for beginners & this loose plying) to an exceptionally fast ratio of 27.5:1 (for lace type spinning). Standard ratios are 9:1, 11:1, 13:1, 15.5:1. Includes a tensioned lazy kate & 4 bobbins.
