The super-soft, super-fine cashmere in this blend is measured at approximately 16 microns and has a staple length of approximately 2.08 inches (52mm). Take that and make a blend with 50% Mulberry Silk (also know as Bombyx or Cultivated Silk) and 50% of this beautiful cashmere and you are set for some spinning luxury. Try some!
This Fine Camel is is not as soft as the 'Fine Baby Camel Top', but is moderately soft and has a darker redish brown color than the 'Fine Baby Camel Top'. This well prepared combed top and is a fairly easy fiber to spin on a spindle or a wheel. As with most camilid fibers (this includes llama, alpaca, guanaco, vicuna, and camel), you need to avoid overtwist in spinning for the softest feel.
