Yak Fiber, white, Ready-to-Spin

This is a beautiful, super-soft fiber for spinning. These fibers are aproximately 17.0 microns and have a staple length of approximately 1.28 inches (30mm). Ready-to-Spin is when the fibers are neither combed or carded but are fully cleaned and dehaired and ready to spin as they are . . . or they can be carded, combed or blended as desired.

This Fine Camel is is not as soft as the 'Fine Baby Camel Top', but is moderately soft and has a darker redish brown color than the 'Fine Baby Camel Top'. This well prepared combed top and is a fairly easy fiber to spin on a spindle or a wheel. As with most camilid fibers (this includes llama, alpaca, guanaco, vicuna, and camel), you need to avoid overtwist in spinning for the softest feel.
