Norwegian tapestry technique relies upon dovetail joins along a vertical line. Unlike continental tapestry there are no slits that need to be closed by sewing.

This is a wonderful book – full of very clear diagrams and pictures. It is profusely illustrated in black and white, but it also has four pages of color pictures. For those who know Scandinavian tapestry, this is really the "Bible" for Norwegian techniques.
