Used to hold selvege edges and assist in lessening the amount of draw-in. Particularly helpful on weavings with a high warp tension - such as rug weaving. These are made from steel - narrower than wooden ones and the sharp teeth have a slightly greater downward slant making the the prefered choice for rug weaving and heavy fabrics. Dimensions shown are the minimum and maximum width weavings they can be successfully used on. |
