Polwarth is a cross between Merino and Lincoln (sometimes spelled as 'Polworth'). . . so you get the softness of the merino and a little longer staple with a nice soft sheen. Polwarth sheep are primarily raised in Australia and in South America. . . This wool comes from South American where they call them 'Ideals' The staple length is between 4.5 and 5 inches and at 23.5 micron, gives you a fantastic combination of length and softness. This wool is also very white and open. |
