WindWools Random-Dyed Romney Sliver

32 micron, hand-dyed Romney Wool Sliver put up in 100g (3.5 oz) twisted hanks. These spectacular colors are hand-dyed in New Zealand by Master Dyer, Elspeth Wilkinson, with each dye-pot yielding unique and individual colors.

This fiber is a dream to spin - it is double gilled (carded) and specially selected for knitting. The wonderful colors may be shown to their best advantage in many ways. We suggest pre-drafting (or use the Majacraft diz) to lengthen the fiber for easiest spinning. Try plying a single with a toning or contrasting handspun or commercial yarn. To keep the colors separate, you could Navajo ply, or just do a simple two-ply - all depends on the effect you want to achieve.
