Ashford Kiwi Spinning Wheel

Double treadle design allows for easy stopping and starting. Comfortable sitting position. Easy heal-and-toe treadling. Simple scotch tension system & a polycord, stretchy drive band. Rear mounted wheel for easy belt changing. The "KIWI" spinning wheel has two ratios: 5.5:1 & 8:1. Flyer orifice is 10 mm (3/8"+). Large solidly built drive wheel of 450 mm (17.5") allows for good momentum and smooth treadling. Easy treadling with a ball bearing supported axle shaft. Easy assembly, takes just a few minutes. Central flyer for either right or left handed spinners. Sturdy construction. Lightweight and easy to carry. The "KIWI" weighs 5.5 kg (11 lb). Three bobbins and a lazy kate are included.
