General Policies

We usually will ship In-Stock merchandise within 1 to 3 days from date of order except at peak or "rush" times of the year. If we run out of something, we will backorder the item and ship it as soon as it is available to us. There is no additional charge to ship backorders (unless this was a discounted/actual shipping order).You may also place your order by phone (888 686-1192) or by mail (be sure to include correct tax and shipping charges) to Village Spinning & Weaving, 425 Alisal Rd Ste B, Solvang CA 93463.


We offer discounts on regular priced yarns and fibers (only) as follows [they may affect your actual shipping charge]:

  • Over $100 receives a 10% fiber/yarn discount
  • Over $150 receives a 15% yarn/fiber discount
  • Over $200 receives a 20% yarn/fiber discount
  • Orders with yarn/fiber discounts will be charged actual shipping plus insurance. No free shipping is offered with discounted yarns/fibers


Shipping by "3 DAY", "2 DAY", or "NEXT DAY AIR" IS EXPENSIVE!! You may call us to place an expedited shipment order.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL SHIPPING CHARGES SHOWN ARE FOR THE USA LOWER 48 STATES (Alaska & Hawaii will be AT A MINIMUM the same - we'll email you if it's more) (THIS INCLUDES ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS). WE DO SHIP WORLD-WIDE (that includes APO's and FPO's that due to size and/or weight makes it too costly for us to ship through the USPS - yes we will quote you an APO/FPO shipping charge and you can accept or refuse the shipping quote) and we will email you shipping options/prices and allow you to make the choice. In no case is worldwide shipping less than shipping within the USA. You can 'guesstimate' international shipping by going clicking on: Postal Shipping Estimate Select country, package shape, and estimated weight (WITH packaging), click on continue, click on dot at the beginning of your choice, then click on add extra services, click on 'insurance' and enter the value of your order and click on 'add'. That is an estimate - actual shipping may be different.

Taxes

We collect state sales tax when the shipping address is in one of the following states:

We collect a California state sales tax of 8.00% to all items delivered to an address within the state of California.

Sales Tax Notice: We only collect sales tax for orders shipped to California, but you are required to report this purchase for Use Tax collection if we are shipping to any other state that does have a sales tax. Please consult your tax professional for guidance.

Return Policies

Unused and unassembled merchandise (except the exclusions listed below) in its original packaging can be returned for 30 days from the date of sale for a Full Refund less shipping - If you received free shipping because of the dollar value of the order, we will deduct the shipping & insurance charges from any credit issued. If you received free shipping on your order, and you return part of the order and what you keep no longer qualifies for free shipping, we will deduct the actual shipping charges for the portion you return and we will deduct from your credit the amount the shipping you would normally have been charged for what you did not return. If you received a volume discount on anything and you return part of that order and what's left no longer qualifies for that discount, that will be deduced from and credit also. Exchanges/returns after 30 days will be subject to a 20% handling charge.

No returns on looms, spinning wheels, special ordered items, books, dvds or videos - if one is defective we will gladly exchange it for the same format and title only.

Unauthorized returns - and returns without receipts - will be subject to a minimum of 20% restocking. . . if we have to ship unauthorized material back to you, it will be at your expense.

Store Privacy Policies

Village Spinning & Weaving does not share information about our customers with anyone. Your addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, email addresses etc. will not be shared. All credit card transaction information is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.
